Another thing I love is shopping at the Dollar store. My favorite one is the Dollar Tree. You never know what you're going to find there, and in recent years the selection has become even better. The best part? Every thing's only one dollar! How cool is that? So on my last trip home to the US I made my usual stop to the Dollar Tree (well, honestly I made several stops during my trip). I was so happy to find art prints and matting, all for a dollar a piece. I looked through everything and here are my favorites that I purchased and brought back with me:
Note: Please excuse the lack of photography skills. I took these pics just today, and was having some lighting problems (I left the plastic covering on the prints to keep them protected).
"simple sunflowers"
"quilted butterflies"

I know it may seem that I have an obsession with butterflies, but I don't. I mean, I really do love them, but it's not like I have a butterfly collection or anything. To be honest, this is one of the few things in my home with butterflies. What I liked about these prints is the quilting effect within their wing design. That's not really my style either, but I just loved these for some reason. Again, not sure where they're going to go, but will find a place. ;-)
"funky frogs"

A mother can never go shopping without thinking of her little one(s). In my case, I have only one little one so perhaps I go a little crazy when shopping for him. I saw these funky frog prints and thought I could definitely do something cool with them. They also match the matting that I bought so the "simple sunflowers" and "funky frogs" will have to fight over them. ;-)
So there you have it, my art shopping journey at the good old Dollar Tree. Shall I go this summer and try to find more? ;-)

I never knew they had those there. I love them!! Maybe if I had, my apartment would have looked a little more decorated ;)
