candles and aromatherapy

I love all things spa & aromatherapy. I could spend some serious cash on these items. According to my hubby I already do spend serious cash. But honestly, I could spend way more. There are just so many great things out there and I love, love, love!!! Here are my current favs:

candles

Yankee candles are my all time favorite candles. Although there are some serious competitors out there, they are still my number one favorite. I can rarely find them here in Riyadh and when I do they're overpriced and the selection is very limited. I always try to stock up during my visits home to the US. Although the big jar candles are the best, they are not travel friendly. My solution: candle tins. I find these at the Yankee outlet for about $5. I also stock up on votives. I make sure I have enough of these so that I can add them to a last minute gift, if need be. You can find their website here.

aromatherapy

I used to buy a body mist from The Healing Garden called "ZZZ Therapy". I would spray it on my pillows for a calming scent before sleep. After my son was born I would use it on him as a body spray (yes, I am one of those Moms who uses baby cologne on her child). I just LOVED the smell of it and it was so affordable (I would get it from WalMart for like $7). I was so sad last year when I couldn't find it anymore. I even searched online and it appears as if it's been discontinued. Bummer. But then, my big sister suggested I check out Bath and Body's Sleep from their aromatherapy line and I'm hooked. It smells so nice! I bought the pillow mist (It's actually made for pillows! I was ahead of my time with the body spray). I also got the hand cream. I always use lip balm and hand lotion before bed so this lotion is perfect for my routine. Btw, Bath and Body Works is currently having a 2/$20 sale on these items. ;-)

more aromatherapy

Speaking of my big sister, she got me this lovely gift, also from Bath and Body. It's a roll-on that you apply to your wrists. You can breathe in the scent and it helps you to calm down and relax. I love it. They have many more scents. This one is vanilla with chamomile. You can check out this line here.

don't forget the little guy

And of course I was able to find something for my little guy. My favorite thing about eating at Cracker Barrel is the cute gift shop! There are so many interesting things there. I never leave without picking up something(s). I was checking out their section of body care and this little tin of balm caught my eye. It's by Badger and this particular one is made for kids. You can dab a little of this on their temples, wrists, etc. It's loaded with all kinds of good things like lavender, chamomile, sandalwood, spearmint, EVOO, and much more. Truth be told, I've been using this for myself as well. I love it. I went to the company's website and found all kinds of wonderful things. If you want to see, go here.

Now, I'm going to dab on some vanilla chamomile, light a candle or two, and wind down. And if anyone knows anything about The Healing Garden's zzz therapy line, PLEASE let me know! Goodnight.
