a little chat and pier 1 love

Today I was kinda in a mood with work. It's the end of our 1st semester here in Saudi and that means a ton of work for teachers. We were informed today that report cards are due one week earlier than originally planned and that sent most of us into panic mode. Well, maybe something more like irritated mode. Is it really that difficult to be organized? I think NOT.

Things at home are getting better though. We're living in our downstairs finally...yay! Pictures will come after we get our new furniture. ;) I am cooking again. It feels good. Most people would think having maids to cook and clean for you is a wonderful thing. But for me, there are many days that I don't like it. Cooking again has allowed me to feel more independent. Also, so far I've made some pretty tasty meals. So what if I burned myself on the stove burner, at least the food is good, right? ;)

We're still waiting to complete the remodeling. I think they're about half way finished with our master bath? After that comes some painting and then hopefully we can get back to a normal life again.

So I should be working on report cards or in bed sleeping, but I thought getting online would be way more fun. Now, some people eat food when they're down and out, but I like to shop, or at least look around online. I decided to check out Pier 1 and OMG...I could seriously buy up their entire stock. I want one of everything. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it all!!! I fell in love with Pier 1 when I was a teenager, way before I had my own place. Their style is so unique yet very elegant. It's a good thing we don't have one here in Riyadh. I would be spending major cash if we did. So for now, looking will have to do. I'm sharing only chairs and sofas that I like. I will have to post many more things in future posts. There's just too much love to fit into one post. Check these out...

My favorite...a paisley love seat

Chairs that I would love to accent with...

A chocolate sofa...

Another awesome chair...

Love this sofa, I would line it up with all the fabulous pillows they carry (don't worry, I'll be chatting about those VERY soon)...

I love green, one of my favorite colors, love it paired up with brown in this funky chair...

My goal now is to post this and go to bed without returning to their website...I could look all night long. ;)
