brown and blue

When you hear brown and blue, what do you think? Me? I think of the ocean, sandy beaches, or something like this beautiful scene...

I need to go there, like RIGHT now! ;)

I've recently made the decision to go with these two colors in our master bath. We had brown and beige tiles put in and I've been thinking and thinking of how to complete the room. My first thought was to go with brown only, but I realized I needed to add a pop of color. After spotting some bathroom decor I knew what color I needed to go with the brown...BLUE! :)

But with so many blues, how can one choose?

So I did a little search and found that brown and blue, or blue and brown, go well together in just about any room, in just about any shade.

Believe it or not, it was not as easy finding pictures of brown and blue bathrooms. But I know this is no new concept. I'll most likely take a trip to my go-to store for home furnishings, see their selection of this color combo, and decide. Here are the few pictures I did manage to find for my bathroom inspiration folder...

Yeah, this is probably not a bathroom, but the tiles made me think of one...:)

A little too much white and not enough brown, but the window frames provide the idea of what I'm going for.

I really like these colors together. Let's hope it works out. :)

I forgot to record sources for the images here. However, I found most of them from the following; House Beautiful, Target, WalMart, and Yahoo Image Search.

  1. I love that color combo! HB and I used to have that in our bedroom in our apartment. The only problem with it was that it made it really dark in the room, especially on cloudy days. I needed more light accents to brighten it up a smidge. I can't wait to see what you do!

Since the comfortable was EXPENSIVE.. we will be using it for awhile so someday when we get a house.. our master will be done in blue and brown as well :)
