magic eraser

Warning: Totally domestic post about to begin...

When I go home to the States every summer there are several (wait, scratch that, tons) of things I buy for my "stock". These are things that either a) I can't find here, or b) are way over priced here. Some of these things include Q-tips (over priced), tampons (found in select stores only), over the counter meds (better quality and price in the US), gum and certain candies (never short of sugar in Saudi, but there are some things from home that I can't find here), and the list goes on and on. One of my more recent additions to this list is the Magic Eraser. If you are a parent, or young children frequent your home, you MUST have these on hand. They clean up so many things, they are really almost like magic. Here's my lastest little project that I decided to try an eraser on...

This is my disgusting shower curtain rod. It was white when we bought it...lol.

A close up for dramatical effects.

My lovely Magic Eraser.

With the eraser and just a little elbow grease, the icky black came right off. No cleaners needed, just a little water and the magical sponge.

Back to a shiny, sparkly, clean shade of white. :)

I bought a big box of the Mr. Clean brand and a big box of the WalMart brand. They both work. The WalMart brand is just a little smaller in size, but not by much.

I can't believe I almost tried the whole Clorox, gloves, sponges, big ole mess approach. ;)

P.S. Now I must buy a new shower curtain and hooks. This one does not match the new tiles. Thinking out loud here...lol.
