I always enjoy looking back and remembering past events. Whether we think about good memories or bad, we can not doubt that all events in our lives have brought us to the present. And that they have helped make us who we are today. We grow stronger and wiser because of them.
Here are a few things I remember about my 2010...
We survived our remodel. And I say "survived" because although this sounded like a great idea before we began, it was a challenge going through it. But we made it, and we're happy with the overall outcome.
Little guy had the chicken pox. Thanks to his vaccine, he only had eight spots. So no pain and no itching. However, he did experience all the other side effects which were not fun. But I'm glad we got that over with. He was a real trooper!
We had a great vacation to the US. We spent time with family and we enjoyed a wonderful time at the beach. Making memories for little guy is so very important to me. Hubby and I agree, little guy having fun is our number goal for vacation.
We began a new school year. Little guy had a rocky start and I was sincerely worried that this year would be horrible. However, a classroom change and a couple weeks later he was loving school. I am so thankful for that! I am amazed at his progress this year. I love my little guy with all my heart!
I, on the other hand, had a nice start that has since turned sour. I'd rather not share all the itty-bitty details but there are many frustrations involved. We are near completion of our 1st semester, so we are planning to adjust some things for next term, hoping to make things a bit easier. I do love my students, and I do love my co-workers, they are what keeps me going.
Hubby and I ended the year by making some important decisions. One of the things I love most about my hubby is how he and I can talk. He is truly my best friend. And I'm grateful to have him by my side. Marriage is not easy. Even if you are crazy in love with your spouse, marriage will not be a "walk in the park". It'll have it's ups and it's downs. The important things are to keep talking, keep loving, keep supporting, and keep making it through. Because having that special someone is an amazing feeling to have. And for that I feel truly blessed.
Here's hoping we all are blessed with a wonderful 2011! ;)
