rainy day, time for new fashion

Yesterday it rained here in Riyadh. It rained and it rained and it rained. In most parts of the world, rain equals a gloomy, boring kind of day. But here, we get kind of excited. Rainfall is so little that we appreciate it on a completely different level.

Because we don't get all that much rain, streets and drainage systems are not really made for it. So thanks to our recent rainfall, they cancelled school today (some major roads were closed due to flooding). It's also very cold here, so staying warm and cozy at home sounds pretty good to me.

What I really want to do is light some candles, play some relaxing music, and take a nice warm bubble bath.

However, as life would have it, we had a water problem in our house today(broken pipe) and I've been sitting here waiting for them to fix it. So with all this extra time I began to thinking about my wardrobe and how I would really love to freshen it up(yeah, this is a random type of post). I'm in that mood of wanting to donate my entire wardrobe and just start over again. I am thankful that I have clothes and accessories, but sometimes we need something new. So I think as long as we're not wasting, it's okay to renew things in our life. That's why I donate.

During my whole "I need to renew my closet" feeling, one of my favorite shows has been playing. Ghost Whisperer may have been cancelled but they've been playing it quite often these days, and I really enjoy watching it. One of my favorite things about this show is Jennifer Love Hewitt's wardrobe. It's pretty. It's feminine. It's girly.

I would love to add pieces such as these to my wardrobe.

But I find that I like many different looks. I think it's boring to open up a closet and only find one type of fashion. I love how Daisy Fuentes incorporates different looks into her designs. I love both of these styles and would feel great in either one.

Here are a few new fashion finds that I could add to my closet...

With Spring just around the corner, I'm thinking it's time to fill up some donation boxes and freshen up the closet. Hmmm...I wonder if hubby will support me on this? ;)

  1. I flippin' LOVE that whole thing of JLH's style. It's romantic and feminine without being over-the-top. And I love that living room from the previous post. I see similarities between the wardrobe and the living room. Hmmmmm.... I think we're on to something there....

  2. Hey! Thanks for sharing my Ghost Whisperer inspiration board. :-) I love, love, love Melinda's (JLH) style on that show. I have the entire series on DVD and love rewatching and taking in the fashions all over again.
