my retail therapy, part 1 of 2

After taking a quick review of my blog today, I realized that I've been sounding pretty down and out. That's not really good reading material, so I apologize. I will say that this blogging thing is great for me. It's really been like therapy. I get my thoughts out and feel so much better. I used to write in a journal when I was in High School. As a matter of fact I started around 13 yrs old and continued until I graduated, until I was 18. I think writing is so good for the soul, whether you share it or not.

So, one of the best ways to feel better is, of course, SHOPPING. Never fails, always makes me feel better when I'm down. As my vacation is fast approaching, I decided to continue with my online "glance" before I travel. I've also failed to mention that my little brother (not that little, he's only 2 yrs younger than me), is getting married this summer. So I'm on a hunt for something nice to wear for this occasion. One of my favorite department stores is Kohl's. My big sister introduced me to this fab store (they had one in her area). Lucky for the rest of us, they opened one in our city. I love so many things there. My Mom and I love the books and matching stuffed animals they sell for only $5 a piece and the proceeds go towards their program for kids. My little sisters (not so little, they're both in college, twins too!) and I can spend some serious time in the sterling silver department. And I love that they have stroller/shopping cart thingys so that my son can sit comfortably and I have a place to put all my finds. I mean, who doesn't like Kohl's? Just look at this trendy combo straight from their website:

Love, love, LOVE!!! I actually bought a similar top like this one last summer and it's one of my favs. I love the fit.

Here are some of my picks as I window-shopped from my computer:

"jade"…jade top, floral skimmer pants, gypsy dress…all Apt. 9 (I think my fav line at Kohl's), Vera Wang floral baby doll top (P.S. Her line is having some awesome sales right now!)

"golden brown"…ruffle button down ( Apt. 9 ), bag (Nine and Co.), brown flats (Croft and Barrow), teardrop earrings (24K gold over sterling silver)

I found so much great stuff you'll have to scroll down to read part 2 of my retail therapy, on the following post...
