aquafina lip balm

I've always loved make-up, even as a little girl. As soon as my Mom allowed me to wear it I was all about it. Actually I was all about it even before I was allowed. When I was in 5th grade, my sister, who was in High School at the time, went to school an hour before I did. My Mom would also leave for work about an hour before my brother and I would walk to the bus stop. I loved that hour. I'd sneak into my sister's make-up drawer and use her eye shadows. I'd coordinate the colors to match my outfits. My poor sister. She always knew somehow, no matter how carefully I tried to put everything back. She had every right to be upset and complain to my Mom. But I couldn't help it. I loved being girly.

I remember in Jr. High I'd do my touch-ups between classes and after lunch. I'd pull out my Covergirl pressed powder and lipstick of the day and apply each. Lipstick was very important to me back then. I had all different shades. It was serious business....hahaha.

As an adult I still love lipstick but I'm more relaxed about it. That's because my focus has turned towards lip balms. I've realized the importance of them. Moisturized lips are a must. There are many lip balms that I love. I've been using Avon lip balms since I was a little girl. We'd get them in our stockings and our Easter baskets. I still buy them. I think Strawberry is my favorite. I like how it has just a hint of color to it. I also LOVE Blistex. It works, plain and simple. I can't sleep without applying this stuff first. I also think Lipsmackers are really fun...all those great flavors.

When I was shopping at Walmart this summer I did my usual stop at the lip balm section and saw something new and interesting...

Aquafina Lip Balm

I bought a four pack (it's actually a three pack but came with one bonus balm). I think it was under $3. I've only tried one flavor so far (I hate having too many things opened at one time...weird, I know). The one I'm currently using is called "wildberry" (it's the purple one). The flavor is okay, not the best, but certainly not the worst. But I really, truly love the balm itself. It really works. It moisturises very well, it's not waxy or sticky, and it stays on. I'm really glad I got the four pack because this is something I don't want to run out of. I've been using it during the day and my Blistex at night. Here's what the regular three pack looks like:

I would definitely recommend this. In fact, I'm thinking of using it next time I make up little goodie bags for my friends.

Now, where is my pressed powder and lipstick? It's about time to get ready for work. ;-)
