So I survived my first day back to work. As I expected they had nothing planned or organized for us teachers...ugh! However, I did get to see all of my long lost friends. I haven't seen them for like 3 months so we had a lot of catching up to do. My friends are from many different countries so we make a diverse crowd which I love. We come from different cultures yet have so much in common...makes you wonder why world peace is such a challenge. So a few of my dear friends brought back little gifts from their summer vacations for everyone. I took a picture so I'll try to post about it soon.
In other happy news I got two cash bonuses today. Yay! Totally unexpected. One bonus was a reward for our students placing second in the assessment exam last year. Our students rock! The second bonus was for "Best Teacher". I get a little shy while mentioning this. It's a very strong title to be given. I do feel that I worked really hard so I really appreciate the recognition, but still. The coolest reward from this was the envelope my principal handed me with half a month's salary (in cash). I told hubby that it's my hard earned money and that I'm not sharing...hahaha. So even though I complained about going today, I made out pretty darn well.
In other crazy news, we woke up at 1:30am today. Apparently, some little three year old that I know thinks that this is the perfect time to wake up and watch videos. I banned him from TV to try and teach him that we don't wake up in the middle of the night to watch DVDs. He was a little bummed but accepted. At least we went to bed at 6:30pm yesterday, so I'm not too tired....yet. I'm debating if I should take him to work with me. I'm thinking it'll help him get back to normal with this whole time issue. I have an hour and half to decide. Hmmmm...
And with that, I'm off to get ready for another day of work. Good night/morning. :-)

hahaha... that's hilarious about little F.... okay, not so funny for you, but definitely funny from the outside looking in. I can just picture him. Congrats on being a superdooper teacher! That's fantastic-- you deserve it. Sorry I haven't been able to check your blog in a little while. With all the craziness of work and staring at the computer for 8.5 straight hours at work, I'm exhausted when I get home. I miss all your posts!
