hair cut and color

It seems that a lot of people are thinking and talking about hair changes lately, including my little sister. I guess that's expected with fall and the need to change with the season.

I am no exception. I kinda obsess over hair cuts and colors. Not with other people, but with myself. I analyze too much. When I was in high school it was so much easier and care free. I'd cut my long locks and not think twice. I used to say, "it'll just grow back". I'd go into WalMart, find a new hair color that fit my mood, go home and color away. I even got my friends to do this with me a couple of times. I remember a hair-coloring slumber party at my cousin's house.



So why is it so much harder now to make these decisions? Maybe because I'm a grown up and know that choices have consequences? Like if I cut my hair super short, it will take time to grow back and it'll be a pain keeping it looking nice as I do so. And with color, I only do color with my trusted hair stylist at my salon now. I don't trust myself to do it as well as she does. I always end up missing a section in the back or something. So with the money I spend on color, I'd like to be sure I'm making a good choice that's worth it.



I did, however, make a decision in regards to color. I want a chocolate brown. Here are two shades I found that caught my eye (these are do it yourself ones, but I'm planning on using the pictures to show my stylist):

I wish I had the courage to cut my hair that short. I can only imagine how fast I could get ready every morning. I have to be signed in at work no later than 6:45am...YES! That's AM as in, in the morning! Short, easy hair would be nice. But am I ready to do it? Not sure. I'll have to think more about this. ;-)
