shrek love

I love that my little guy is starting to watch movies now. I told hubby that I want to start family movie night; going out to eat or ordering something in and then watching a family friendly movie at home. I think Wednesday is perfect. Wednesday in Saudi is like Friday in the US (the start of the weekend). I always loved Friday nights as a kid. Remember TGIF on TV? They played family shows for like 2 hours every Friday night. I always looked forward to it.

So anyway, this summer I was looking through the $3 DVD bin at Walmart. You never know what you're going to find. Sometimes I have no luck at all, but this time I found about 5 good DVDs, all for only $3! One of them was Shrek 2. I remember watching the first one quite a long time ago and that I liked it. So we brought Shrek 2 home and I have to tell you, it is currently my son's favorite thing to watch. We watch it every single day, no joke. What's cool is that I also really like it and I honestly don't mind watching it over and over. I catch something new each time.

I've decided that I need to go out and get Shrek and Shrek the third. I think little guy would like both. Donkey seems to be his favorite character, Eddie Murphy is funny. I also read that there's to be a holiday sequel coming soon and another sequel this coming Spring. If they keep these as good as they've been, we're excited! :-)
