yucky school uniforms

Yesterday little guy and I went to the mall to buy school uniforms. All schools here in Saudi, private and public, have school uniforms. Little guy will be starting his first year of school in just one more week. As I've mentioned, he'll be attending the private school that I teach at. I hate the boys' uniforms. It's one of the only times I hated shopping for clothing. Need a visual? Here you are:

I bought four sets of these things. The shirts are fine, but those pants?!? What were they thinking when they picked them out? I need to be on their uniform decision board. I'd much rather dress my little guy up in something way cooler like this new fall outfit I got him at Gap:

Oh well...it's all part of the joys of school uniforms. At least he'll have plenty of activity days in which he can wear his cutie-cool clothes, in the KG section.
