holiday beautifuls

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve already. Is it just me or did December just fly on by this year? Christmas isn't even celebrated here in Saudi but I still feel like I was a busy little bee as time just flew on by. Even though I don't really celebrate Christmas, I still love the whole holiday feeling. And I miss it each year. I have such great memories from the holidays. It was one of my favorite times of the year as a kid. And to be honest I would not mind planning a trip to the US during the holidays in the future. I would love for little guy to experience some of my favorite things like making sugar cookies with my Mom, visiting relatives, and seeing all of the beautiful lights and decorations. I also think it'd be fun to buy, wrap, and exchange gifts (I love buying gifts!). If I ever do get the chance, I would hope and pray for a white Christmas, that would make it perfect.

So in the spirit of the holidays and with all the beautiful things I've seen online I will share some holiday beauty...

How about this holiday dinner setting? I love the mix of modern with tradition...

I have fetishes of many kinds; bags, blankets, shoes, pillows, and even tassels. Yes, tassels. And here in Saudi I find these a dime a dozen. They're everywhere, in every color, and VERY affordable. Using them for curtains is the obvious way to decorate but I love the idea of hanging them in other places too. Check out these holiday tassels on closet doors...

Do not pack away all of your Christmas ornaments. Ornaments can be great little touches throughout the house. Many of them can be used all year long. I love hanging them on door knobs, closet door knobs, etc. Here are a few examples...

This one would be prefect hanging from a closet door knob or on the knob of a shoe cabinet...

I think these would be special, meaningful ornaments that I could send to my family to remember us by...

You know, a camel, because we live in Saudi...:-)

Or a globe, because we live on the other side...:-)

Okay, now onto a few beautiful gifts...

I'm sure that these in no way compare to our family's traditional sugar cookies, but are they not the cutest cookies ever?!? And that box with that bow....so girly cute!...

How about these gorgeous luxury soaps? I just love the way they're all wrapped up...

Some of the most beautifully decorated things come from India. These painted boxes are a great example. You could use them for jewelry, a home for your keys, or place one on a coffee or end table for coasters or even remotes...

Wishing you all a happy Christmas Eve...;-)
