breezy beach comfort

I am so excited for vacation this year. I have planned a trip to the beach for hubby, little guy, and I. Hubby and I have never been to the beach together and this will be little guy's first trip there. I can't wait to share this experience with both of them. Some of my family may be joining us as well, which we are very happy about.

When I was growing up we went to the beach often. It was always so fun and exciting to get away. Even though it takes about 6 hours to drive there, it is WELL worth it...the sounds of the waves crashing and the seagulls all around, the feel of the ocean breeze, the sand between your toes, the smell of the ocean air combined with the amazing smells of boardwalk food. Just sitting on the beach alone is well worth it all. It is true RELAXATION in the best of forms. I am counting the days. :)

Of course I have already begun packing plans for this beach trip; swimming gear, lots of sand toys for little guy (and us...lol), sun protection, flip-flips...and of course, clothes. I love easy, breezy beach comfort. I could easily do the beach life thing. So I've been looking around and here are a few things I'm liking for my upcoming beach adventure...

hippie-chic dress from Gap

a light weight, open cardi to wear with above dress (but in a different color of course) from Gap

colorful scarf from Old Navy to be worn with outfit below

crinkle gauze tunic from Old Navy

white drawstring pants from Old Navy, to be worn with tunic above

leather T sandals in silver from Gap add just a splash of bling....;)

purple surf hoodie from Old Navy for breezy beach nights

I just can't wait! :)
