Recently I posted about purple and green, the colors of our new living room. I also mentioned how I would like to add a pop of another color to the dining room area. Adding a touch of a third color will help define the area yet it will still blend well with the living area. So what color would I like to add?Orange. Although the image below is of a living room, you can get the feel of green (the plants), purple (the cushions), and orange (the lamp, pillow, books, etc).
I only want to accent with this color, in a subtle way, not in a bold way. Some ways to accent with an additional color in a dining room are...

I love that second picture. If that could be my living room, I'd be so happy. I've always been a fan of green and blue together. I like how fresh it looks. I also started to like red, blue, and yellow together...not the clowny-type, but variations of those colors together.
ReplyDeletei was right with the orange.. i took a class in HS on fashion and colors..green purple and orange are in a triangle on the color wheel! It will look great!
