When we needed a new couch we headed to Ikea to check some out. I was way too focused on color and price and convinced hubby that this one was perfect.
I was wrong.
I do like the color. And the price was nice. But what we have learned is that this couch hurts! In our defense, when we sat on it in the store it felt fine. But after using it here at home, it is not comfy...at all. :(
It does have some cool features, such as a pull out that rises to the seat level (which can be used as a double bed). We like this for family movie time.
And in keeping with true Ikea spirit there's even some creative storage space.
But since we've been using this hubby and I are both suffering from backaches. We agree that a new comfy sofa needs to be added to our long list of things we need to buy for the house.
And I learned a valuable lesson. Never rush into buying important furniture pieces.
P.S. This picture was taken months ago, before summer. Our rug has since been replaced with a green one. Also, if the couch would've worked I would have traded out the coffee and end tables with more complimenting pieces. However, I may get to keep them depending on couch #2. Last but not least, I have since traded out the fuchsia pillows and table runner with purple replacements. I will try to do an update picture soon.
And btw, I LOVE Ikea, in a major way. We just happened to buy a piece that did not work out for us.

Lucky bum...at least you have an Ikea right there, don't you? Too bad we have to drive a good 2 1/2 hrs to get to ours :(
