Teaching is the kind of job that goes home with you. Sure, we have evenings and weekends off, but we give a portion of that time to doing school things (grading papers, preparing lessons, etc.) everyday. And that's not always easy when you have a million and one things to do in your personal life, with your own family, and with your own children. So we treasure these breaks.
And even though I have 75 report cards and lots of lesson plans to complete during this week off, I will fully enjoy that free feeling of not having to wake up at 5am, of not packing lunches and picking out outfits for the next day, of not feeling completely worn out upon arriving home each day. I will enjoy this Spring Break!!!
Next up...summer vacation which = a trip home to the US...an even bigger YAY! :)
