I really want to make weekend traditions with little guy and hubby. I like good old-fashioned pizza and family movie nights. I also do my grocery shopping on the weekends. Little guy always tags along on those trips. I remember how I used to love going grocery shopping with my Mom when I was little. We like to eat out as a family on weekends too.
Another thing I started is taking little guy to the mall on Wednesdays after school. Hubby gets off much later than us (we finish school @ 1pm on Wed), so it's a great opportunity to have some Mama and little guy time. The mall is so calm and peaceful then. We go to the food court and get some lunch. Then we go to the prayer area so I can pray the late afternoon prayer. Then it's off to the "malahee". This is like a mini-amusement park in the mall complete with mini-roller coasters, rides, and arcade games (I think I blogged about these before). It's very fun. Little guy is loving it these days. After the rides we sometimes get ice cream and I squeeze some shopping in if need be.
Today we went to this beautiful mall:

It was sooooo nice. We rode the rapid river ride which was super fun. Little guy would not ride any "baby" rides today. He wanted bigger rides and arcade games. Then I took him
to the toy store and caved in by buying him a wooden train track set. We were home by 5pm. We still have our whole evening left.
Great start for our weekend. And guess what? Tomorrow I don't have to wake up at 5am..YAY! :-) This is why I LOVE Wednesdays so very much!
P.S. I found a website for the mall shown above. If interested click here. You can click on the "photo album" button and see some pictures inside and out.
Update: I'm not sure why but my hyperlink is not working. So if you are interested in checking out more photos of the mall mentioned above you can just go to the following address: www.riyadhgallery.com/en/? You may not be able to just click on this so you can either type in this address or copy and paste it. The ? is included in the address. Sorry!
