perfumes from the past and present

Hubby recently traveled to Dubai for work and returned bearing gifts for little guy and me. Little guy got toys and books and I got one of my favorite gifts, perfume. Hubby has really good taste with perfume so even though it can be a tricky thing to purchase for someone, I'm always happy with his selection. Here are my new fragrances hubby got for me:

Flora by Gucci...I love this one, and it's currently in my purse (I always carry a perfume in my bag).

Euphoria by Calvin Klein...I've loved this one for awhile so I was very happy that hubby got it for me.

Ralph Lauren Romance, Always Yours...this one is more floral and feminine, I think it'll be a nice choice for Spring which is not all that far away.

So with perfume on the mind, I got to thinking about perfumes from the past. I've loved perfumes all my life, even as a little girl. One of my first perfumes was this...

Love's Baby Soft...remember this one? I was allowed to wear it when I was young because it was so light. This one had some sister perfumes that would often times be sold in a set with Baby Soft. One smelled like lemon, one like the rain, and I think there was a musk in there too.

Now, this next one was my all time favorite one as a pre-teen. If you grew up in the late 80's/early 90's, you definitely know this one...

Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson...Oh, how I loved this one! One year I got three bottles of this for Christmas and I used every last bit of them too. It actually smelled pretty darn good. I wish I could find me a bottle of this now (but recently produced). "Electric Youth, feel the power, see the energy...." (Are those the right words? I still remember the tune.)

I wasn't a huge fan of this next one, but it was everywhere...

Exclamation...the bottle was really cool. I still think so. There was a time when I was young that everyone and their sister received this for Christmas, myself included.

Here's another top Christmas gift perfume:

Vanilla Fields...I really loved this one. I love vanilla scents. I had a roommate in college who only wore vanilla, and sprayed it on everything too. It was annoying. But that was years ago and I can now love vanilla again.

Here's another really cool bottle from the past...

Liz Claibourne...I loved this stuff. This was my first "grown-up" perfume. My big sister had this and I would always sneak and use it (ok, ok, I would sneak and use all her stuff). Then, I finally got myself my own bottle and thought I was cool stuff.

Another big sister inspired scent...

Narcisse by Chloe...I haven't smelled this one in years, by I adored it. It was one of my favs in high school and college.

And even little guy has his own cologne collection. My friend bought him a baby cologne gift set when he was born and I got hooked. I love the following:

Kaloo..these colognes come in adorable little bottles with bear and bunny heads. The scents are light and sweet. They're also alcohol free. They have a whole line of scents.

Jacadi...this is, by far, my fav for little guy. There are three different scents. We use the blue and the green. Also alcohol free.

What are your favorites from the past and present?
