some home ideas

Remodeling...yes, we're still in the midst of it. I CAN NOT wait to finish all of this. If any one of you ever considers remodeling a home while you will be living in it, just know that it will be very noisy, very dusty/dirty, very disruptive, and VERY annoying. I think I've done a good job so far with the whole patience thing, but I'm reaching my limits. Thankfully, our downstairs is 99% complete, and it seems as though our stairs have been finished as well. We still have to remodel our master bathroom which is located in our bedroom (meaning we have to move most of our things out before they begin), and we're planning on painting our stairwell, which at this point is no big deal in comparison to the pounding and drilling we've been dealing with. Painting is calm and quiet, a bit smelly, but calm and quiet. ;)

So enough of my complaining, let's talk about some fun stuff. I went online and found the website for a department store we have here in the Middle East. The original name was City Plaza with a home department called Home Plaza. I believe they changed their store name to Centre Point. Anyway, this is a store that has great home furnishings. I really love it. They also have great decor as well. So here are a few things I'm interesting in for our home.

I like this sofa. Great for relaxing. I can see it in our living room. Hubby agrees. However, I would have to test it out for it's comfy-ness.

I think the one thing I'm so very excited for is to finally have a real dining room. I was raised to sit as a family and eat a proper meal together, around the table. I feel like little guy is missing out on this. I really want to establish this tradition. I want a table about this size and with the buffet (shown on the left, under the mirror).

Another sort of goal I want to accomplish, is to use more lamps around the house. Lighting is everything. I love the comfy cozy feeling in the evenings, when only soft lite lamps are being used. I found a few that I really like. I think of lamps kinda like bracelets. They should be original, unique, and maybe even a little funky. They should be accent pieces to your room, so have fun with them.

This one is actually purple. I'm thinking to use some purple accents throughout my new living room/ dining room. It may sound strange, but you'll see. It'll all come together. I have this vision. ;)

I'm not really planning on accenting with silver, but if I were, this one would be nice. I wonder where else I could use this...hmmmm.

I just had to include some bathroom accessories...lol. I like these sets, but I usually pick and chose the pieces I want. They're sold separately so they always work for me.

So these are just some ideas as of now. I'll keep sharing. Thinking of the finished product is what's keeping me sane! ;)
